Jen Patterson

I was born in Lake Forest, Illinois and attended school in Libertyville.  When I was younger I was always involved in sports.  I was a gymnast for 10 years and played volleyball as well.  Oh yea… I was a cheerleader too.

I graduated from high school a semester early because I was ready for the next step in my life, which was college.  I went to Columbia College in Chicago and graduated with a bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism for Television.

When I moved to Chicago I worked at Gibson’s Steakhouse on Rush which was a great opportunity for me.  I met so many great people from Brad Pitt to Michael Jordan to Steven Tyler.  It was a great place to work plus they have great food!

I met Mike when I was working at Gibson’s and later asked him if I could do a television package on his show for one of my classes.  While filming the package The Score offered me an internship on the Wise Guys show.

I had a great time working with Mike and Doug Buffone on their afternoon show.  I had the most fun when we had our remote in Bourbonnais at Bears Camp.  After my internship had ended Mike offered me the job as an associate producer on his new morning show, and I was very excited for the opportunity.  I was still in school and working on a morning drive show in Chicago.

I love my job.  Not many people can wake up everyday saying that. I’m very thankful.  We laugh together for four hours straight.  And a coincidence … all six of us on the show are all first born children.  Not sure what that means, but I do know that we all get along very well.

In my free time I like to travel.  My favorite place to go is Hawaii.  It’s the most beautiful place that I have ever been.  I also like to go to sporting events.  My favorite being baseball games and hockey games, which unfortunately didn't happen this year.  I also like to go to concerts.  The best concert that I  have gone to had to be an AC/DC show that I went to with my mom.  Yes, I said my mom.

Stay Tuned… There is more to come!
