John "Rock" Mamola has been a Score producer since
September of 2002 and has produced almost every show
that the Score has had on the air since. From working
weekends with Dan Zampillo and Laurence Holmes on the
"Me and Z Show" to today as the Associate Producer of
The Mike North Morning Show. Born in Streamwood, IL in
1981 and raised in the Metroplex that is Dallas/Fort
Worth, TX...Rock has always had a passion for sports
and sports radio growing up listening to 1310 KTCK The
Ticket In Dallas.
After moving back to Chicago in 2002, Rock attended
the Illinois Center For Broadcasting in Lombard, IL.
Interning for the Murph and Fred Show in '02 was
definately a learning experience for young Rock as he
was taught the technical aspects of radio at such a
rapid pace, he caught on so quickly that Drew Hayes
decided to give Rock his first opportunity in Radio as
a part time producer.
Rock joined the Mike North Morning Show in September
of 2004 after working 10 months with the Murph and
Fred show as Associate Producer. Also known as "The
Soundman Extraordinaire", Rock is also busy during the
Bears season working each and every game for the
flagship WBBM 780AM as the studio board operator.
